If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.
Our post in New Milford was incorporated June 24 of 1922, and was named for Ezra Woods who served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company C, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was killed in action on April 20, 1918 and is now buried in Center Cemetery, New Milford.
